Qatar reports 470 Covid-19 cases, 1 death and 809 recovery on 12 July
The Ministry of Public Health today recorded 470 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19), with 809 people recovering from the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoverers in Qatar to 99743. -19.
The total number of positive COVID-19 cases recorded in Qatar is 103598. So far, 147 people have been killed by the coronavirus in Qatar. The Ministry has conducted 3483 tests in the last 24 hours, bringing the total of the tests conducted so far to 412682 tests. There were 44 hospitalizations in the last 24 hours.
The ministry announced the death of a 61-year-old who was receiving the necessary medical care.
Six patients were admitted to the intensive care unit due to health complications from viral infections, and the total number of patients currently receiving medical care in the intensive care unit is 140.
“There has been an increase in cases among families. This is a major concern as this population group contains the highest proportion of older people and those with chronic illnesses. Now more than ever. We need to pay attention to and protect the most vulnerable people,” MoPH said in a statement.
The Department of Public Health urged those with COVID-19 symptoms to contact the Unified Helpline (16000) or go to one of the virus testing centers. Because early detection of the disease increases the chances of recovery.
Major screening centers include Muiaither Health Center, Rawdat Al Khail Health Center, Umm Slal Health Center and Al Gharafa Health Center.
