We are all good at masking, social distance, washing hands and wiping the surface, but most of us have another tool that we can use to keep us and our family safe. I am. It is a flu shot.

At the drive-through clinic, adults under the age of 65 receive a $ 30 4-valent vaccine that protects them from four strains of the flu. People over the age of 65 will receive a high-dose version of the 4-strain vaccine for $ 65.
Children cannot be vaccinated against influenza at any of the drive-through clinics, but the FHN provider’s office has adequate doses for pediatric patients as well as adults.
Vaccinations at the Drive-Through Influenza Vaccination Clinic can be paid by cash, credit card or check paid to FHN. Receipts can be used for refunds from health insurance companies.
If you are eligible for a Medicare Apartment B (you must show your Medicare card) or an FHN-approved Medicare HMO, there is no out-of-pocket fee. Please note that these prices are only available at these influenza vaccination clinics. Other charges may apply at the FHN office.
Federal guidelines to prevent theft of personal information require everyone to present a photo ID to be vaccinated. Please wear a shirt or top that is easy to reach your upper arm. Everyone in a vehicle attending a drive-through clinic must arrive with their faces covered. The user who receives the shot is given a two-layer reusable fabric FHN mask after the shot.
People who are allergic to the egg or flu vaccine, or who are ill with fever or a weakened immune system should not be vaccinated against the flu at these locations. For more information, call FHN Community Services at 815-599-7437.
This year’s Drive-Through Public Influenza Shot Clinic will be held from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm on September 23, from 9:00 am to noon on September 26, and from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm on September 30, FHN Family Healthcare Center – It will be held at Burchard Hills, 1010 W. Fairway. Drive, Freeport; Terrapin Park (next to Elizabeth Grand Antique Mall) at Elizabeth 350 West St. from 9am to noon on October 3rd. From 9am to noon on October 10th at Eastland High School in Lanark’s 500 S. School Drive. October 14th, 3 pm-6pm, FHN Family Healthcare Center – Virtuald Hills. October 17th at Eastland High School from 9am to noon.
