Stanford Hosts Influenza Vaccination Drive-Through Clinic
Stamford, Connecticut — The city will host a drive-through clinic this weekend to provide flu shots while residents are in the car.
The drive-through clinic will take place Saturday from 9am to 12pm in the Stanford High School parking lot behind the building, adjacent to Hillandale Avenue. The entrance to the drive-through clinic is on Fenway Street.

“It is especially important for residents to be vaccinated against the flu this year to avoid going to the hospital because of the flu,” Martin said in a statement. “Influenza vaccinations are available at our clinic, your clinic, or various pharmacies in the city. In just one minute, you’re guaranteed protection from this season’s flu.”
According to Michael Parry, chairman of the infectious disease at Stanford Hospital, influenza and coronavirus (also known as COVID-19) have similar symptoms, so it is especially important to be vaccinated against the flu this year.
According to city officials, typical flu symptoms include fever, body aches, extreme malaise, and a dry cough, which are different from the common cold.
“Influenza and COVID-19 exist in very similar ways, so it’s more important than ever to get a flu shot this year to minimize the risk of both infections,” Parry said. States in a statement.
