Jefferson County hospitals reached their peak in the COVID-19 battle. We have just reached the threshold of where we were in July and it looks like we are heading in the right direction. DR. Mark Wilson of the County Health Department says they see 300 cases per day. People are still hospitalized with a serious illness. It’s straining the system, and even those who are doing pretty well with this, we have many protracted symptoms that nasty Wilson says, they’re not completely surprised by this surge. .. They learned that they were catching the virus at a private party and, in addition to the social gathering held indoors, did not wear masks to suggest Thanksgiving for the next week’s family Thanksgiving.
