North Dakota reports zero deaths, fourth in COVID-19 mortality

The state reported zero deaths on Sunday. The number of active cases has decreased by 90 from yesterday. In North Dakota, the number of cases has been declining gradually over the past month.

North Dakota is currently ranked fourth in the country in terms of mortality. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention,and 6th death per 100,000 in the last 7 days 1.5 per 100,000.

Cass, Burleigh, and Ward counties continue to report the most cases in the state. Cass County added 92 cases, and Burleigh County, including Bismarck, reported 21 new cases. Ward County recorded 16 additional cases on Sunday.

Currently, there are 122 and 107 active cases in neighboring Morton and Stark counties, respectively. Grand Forks County recorded 201 cases, and Williams County in Williston recorded a total of 121 cases.

Currently, there is at least one active case in every county.

Ward County has the highest number of deaths, with 165 COVID-19 deaths. The trails in Cass County are just behind with 160 residents, 160 in Burleigh County and 80 in Morton County.

There were no COVID-19 deaths in the Slope, Golden Valley, and Billings counties.

Burns, Bottineau, Bowman, Cavalier, Dicky, Eddie, Foster, Griggs, McHenry, Mackintosh, Mackenzie, McLean, Mercer, Nelson, Pembina, Lansam, Sargent, Sue, Slope, Stark, Steele, Stutzman, Townner, Trail , Walsh County each added up to 5 new cases.

A total of 4,558 tests were conducted, and 86,013 North Dakota recovered from COVID-19.
