Orange County Report reported 90 new cases and 6 new deaths on April 27 – Orange County Register
The· OC Healthcare Agency Since 90 new cases of coronavirus were reported on Tuesday, April 27, and follow-up began, the cumulative total in the county has increased to 253,664 cases.
1,037 new infections have been reported in the last 14 days.
Six new deaths were reported on Tuesday – the total death toll for COVID-19 is 4,939.
Data on deaths in the county may be edited from death certificates or collected during the case investigation process and may take several weeks to process. The latest recorded death was April 15th.
There were 128 confirmed cases of coronavirus at the Orange County hospital on Tuesday, an increase of 13 from the previous day.
As of Monday, more than 2,405,476 vaccines were distributed in Orange County, according to the California Public Health Service’s Vaccine Dashboard.
According to the county’s latest information, coronavirus testing has been performed 3,624,119 times since it was first launched in the field, and at least 7,110 new tests have been performed since the last report.
Of the cumulative 4,939 deaths reported by the virus, 1,081 were listed as residents of skilled care facilities, 546 as life support facilities, one as an OC prison inmate, and 11 as homeless.
The breakdown of deaths by age in the county is as follows:
Under 17 years old: 0.02% (1) 18-24: 0.2% (10) 25-34: 1.07% (53) 35-44: 2.17% (107) 45-54: 6.36% (314) 55-64: 14.22 % (702 increase 2) 65-74: 19.26% (951, increase 1) 75-84: 24.77% (1,223) 85 or more: 31.92% (1,576, increase 1)
As of Tuesday, it is estimated that 246,101 people have recovered from the virus. The number of people who have recovered is based on the cumulative number of cases over the last 28 days.
Authorities emphasize that the data posted daily is tentative and subject to change. More information may be available once individual case studies are completed.
