Tennis fans, the final Grand Slam of the season is finally here. The 2024 US Open kicked off this week at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The reigning champions of this year's US Open are Coco Gauff and Novak Djokovik. Djokovic is fresh off winning the gold medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics, but he's seeded No. 2. Jannik Sinner took the top spot, while Carlos Alcaraz came in at No. 3. On the women's side, Gauff is seeded No. 3 behind No. 1 Iga Witek and No. 2 Aryna Sabalenka. Tennis stars lead the pack, playing for a record $75 million, the largest purse ever at the Open.

The most important matches of the day are a clash between American Jessica Pegula and Sofia Kenin this afternoon and evening matches between Naomi Osaka and Karolina Muchova, and Carlos Alcaraz against Botic Van De Zandschulp. Here is the full US Open schedule.
