WHO states that spraying disinfectants outdoors does not kill the coronavirus

On Sunday, the World Health Organization warned countries that spraying disinfectants on the street did not kill the coronavirus, which could be a health risk. WHO revealed in a document on surface disinfection and cleaning that sprays may not work in the case of coronaviruses. Authorities added that fumigation of outdoor locations such as markets and streets is not recommended to kill coronaviruses and pathogens because the disinfectant is inactivated by dust and debris.

The WHO also said that pavements and roads are not considered a repository for coronavirus infections, but disinfectant sprays can be dangerous to human health. The document also cited spraying an individual with disinfectant is not recommended under any circumstances.
