OCPS will open rotation vaccination clinics at 22 high schools in the district next week-Central Florida News
Starting next week, Orange County Public School will offer students over the age of 5 who have taken Pfizer shots at one of the 22 high schools in the district.
The FDA and CDC are currently making the COVID-19 vaccine available to children aged 5 to 11 years. OCPS hosts a vaccination clinic in high school from Tuesday, November 9th to Saturday, November 13th. COVID-19 vaccination is optional but highly recommended.

The 22 OCPS High School Walkup Immunization Clinics will open next Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. Any child over the age of 5 can take two Pfizer shots on site.
Spokesperson Scott Hawat said the district has already sent parents information about the nearest high school vaccination site.
However, families can take shots at any participating school in the district.
“They can go to one of the other schools. They can go anywhere in the school district and have access to COVID-19 shots.”
According to Howat, the vaccine is not required, but highly recommended for all students.
“It’s voluntary. I would like to emphasize that shooting the coronavirus COVID-19 is completely voluntary. We strongly encourage parents to take advantage of this opportunity.”
Pfizer, Modana, Johnson & Johnson Vaccines and Pfizer Booster Shots will be available to site parents on a first-come, first-served basis.
The site is open from 4 pm to 8 pm on weekdays and from 9 am to 1 pm on Saturdays.
