Magnitude 3.6 earthquake strikes Velur Tamil Nadu; No loss of life or property

An earthquake measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale was reported from Vellore, Tamil Nadu in the early hours of Monday, November 29.

The National Center for Seismology said that the accident occurred around 4.17 am on Monday, at a depth of 25 kilometers. However, no loss of life or property was reported in the accident.

I felt tremors

Last week, the Thinsul earthquake hit Mizoram. The “very severe” tremors measured 6.1 on the Richter scale. The tremors were felt in several parts of the northeastern region including Assam, Manipur and Tripura as well as West Bengal which included the districts of Kolkata, Alipurdwar, Darjeeling and Jalpaiguri.

The epicenter was near India’s border with Myanmar near Mizoram, according to reports shared by the department.
