T & T’s COVID-19 deaths increase, killing another 19
An additional 19 people were infected with COVID-19, according to daily clinical updates from the Ministry of Health (MoH).
The victims were 4 elderly men, 6 elderly women, 5 middle-aged men, and 4 middle-aged women. This brings the total number of related deaths to 2,869.
Comorbidities present in the deceased include diabetes, hypertension, kidney disease, lung disease, cancer, anemia, thyroid disease, and a history of stroke.
Fourteen had multiple comorbidities, three had one comorbidity each, and two had no known medical conditions.
511,257 people have been tested for COVID-19 in both public and private facilities.
Of those numbers, 91,899 were confirmed to be positive, of which 579 were recorded today.
In addition, 87 people were discharged from public health facilities and 539 community cases were recovered.
Therefore, there are 73,233 rehabilitated patients so far.
Currently, 15,797 people are actively infected with COVID-19.
There are 462 inpatients, 166 in antihypertensive facilities, 39 in state quarantine, and 14,590 in self-quarantine.
