The former French prime minister has been found accused of “fake work” by his wife – BBC News
Former French Prime Minister and François Fillon and his Welsh wife have received prison sentences in cases of “false labor”. Conservative politician Penelope Fillon was found guilty of paying € 1,156 million (£ 1.06 million, $ 1.3 million) for her work as a parliamentary aide. He was sentenced to five years in prison, three of which were suspended. He was given a three-year hiatus. The scandal ruined his presidential bid in 2017. They both filed an appeal, blocking Fillon’s immediate arrest. He is 66 years old, the oldest French character to be sentenced to prison since the beginning of the Fifth Republic in 1958. The coronavirus mask obscured the couple’s statements as they read the verdict. Subscribe HERE .
