Nighttime exposure to blue light is associated with an increased risk of colorectal cancer

Blue light has become an increasingly common component of outdoor lighting in cities. But how does it affect our health? A team led by the Barcelona Global Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal), a center sponsored by the “La Caixa” Foundation, conducted the first study on the relationship between nighttime exposure to outdoor artificial light and colorectal cancer.
