California Earthquake: San Diego, California Earthquake Today: Tremors felt at Henshaw Lake, Escondido, Ramona, Oceanside and Palm Springs | US News

A 3.5 magnitude earthquake struck San Diego, California, on Sunday, and tremors were felt in nearby areas including Lake Henshaw, Escondido, Ramona, Oceanside and Palm Springs. The US Geological Survey (USGS) reported that the quake occurred about 4 miles north of Lake Henshaw shortly after 7 p.m. EDT and at a depth of 8 miles. Lake Henshaw is a reservoir located at the southeast base of Palomar Mountain. So far there are no reports of damage or injuries.

Several residents in Riverside and San Diego counties reported the earthquake on the X platform, formerly known as Twitter. There were no reports of damage or injuries as a result of the earthquake.

“I think I just felt an earthquake in North San Diego County? Is anyone else feeling it?” one person tweeted.

Another added: “My house literally shook, which was a bit scary. I hate the #SanDiegoEarthquake.”
