Lee Anderson mocked me for still predicting an “earthquake” of reform in the UK
As this year's local, mayoral, police and crime commissioner elections in England and Wales continue to be analysed, with results showing humiliating defeats for right-wing parties, reformist UK MP Lee Anderson insists his party is on the verge of a “political earthquake”.
Reform, formerly known as the Brexit Party and founded by Nigel Farage (now its honorary chairman), could only gain two council seats, in the Hampshire town of Havant.
They joined the Conservatives in getting a very poor result at the polls, with Rishi Sunak's Conservatives suffering a devastating loss of more than 470 council members – with more results still to be announced.
Commenting on the state of the parties on Friday, UK Reform Party leader Richard Tice claimed his party was “on the rise”.
“What is quickly becoming clear – as you see in some councils elsewhere in the north-east – is that we have become the real opposition, in the north, to Labour, and I think that will continue in the Midlands and Wales,” he said.
The comments came as Reform UK received more votes than the Conservatives in the majority of the 24 council elections held in Sunderland, although this does not mean they won any seats in the area.
In fact, the Independents (228 councillors), the Green Party (181 councillors), the Residents' League (48 councillors) and George Galloway's UK Labor Party (4 councillors) won more seats than the Reform UK Party, prompting social media users to Wondering. Why did the TICE party get so much more airtime than those other parties:
A reminder that the Green Party won 80 times more councilors than the Reform Party in the UK.

So every time Richard Tice or Nigel Farage appears anywhere in the news, it would be nice to see 80 articles and interviews with Green politicians To achieve balance.

Richard Tice is the biggest loser in last night's vote. Why is @bbcnews promoting the far right in this way?

So far, Reform UK has won just 2 seats out of over 2,000.

To put this into perspective, the Residents' Association has won 48 seats.

Who believes @@ The entire BBC board needs to be sacked?
— (@)
The amount of coverage given to the Green Party, which has so far won 159 seats in this election, compared to the British Reform Party, which has won two, has been remarkable.
— (@)
Perhaps we can now stop the media's infatuation with the UK's reformist political party. If you want to represent the people – well, the Green Party should get 80x the airtime.

The Green Party, which has so far won 159 seats in this election, has received less media coverage than the British Reform Party, which has won two seats.

While Tice used the results in Sunderland to suggest his party was still a force to be reckoned with, Anderson shared the news from Havant to claim that a “political earthquake is about to happen”.
Needless to say, this tweet from the MP for Ashfield was met with ridicule online, with one person pointing out that Reform UK is currently offering what looks more like a 'wet fart' than an earthquake:
@LeeAndersonMP_ Once again, you are on the side of the losers.
— (@)
@LeeAndersonMP_ A wet political fart about to happen

We're splitting the vote to allow Labor overall control

#ReformedRejects🫠
— (@)
@LeeAndersonMP_ Earthquake.
— (@)
@LeeAndersonMP_ You barely register as a fart with only two council members
— (@)
@LeeAndersonMP_ 2 local councilors (in 2 areas with less than 20% turnout) ………. It is a political earthquake – it is very good to see that your aspirations have been lowered somewhat if it is an earthquake \ud83e\ udd23🤣
— (@)
@LeeAndersonMP_ Political earthquake?!

You've got more recycling bins than you have council members
— (@)
Dream on, Lee.

Unlike physical insurance agencies, websites don't have a specific schedule and they are available at any time. Almost all insurance providers, no matter if they are well-known brands or just local insurers, have an online presence. Drivers are no longer required to get quotes from just a few known insurance companies. Also, local and regional insurers can provide lower insurance rates for the same services. Accurate insurance estimates. Online quotes can only be accurate if the customers provide accurate and real info about their car models and driving history. Lying about past driving incidents can make the price estimates to be lower, but when dealing with an insurance company lying to them is useless.
