Hockey home openers
The No. 9-ranked Cornell men's hockey team will open a four-game homestand when it welcomes No. 6-ranked North Dakota for a series of two games.
The regular women's ice hockey season begins with games against Union College and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Indigenous women exhibit
A new exhibition in the lobby of the Mann Library highlights the contributions of the first Haudenosaunee women in the College of Human Ecology, who benefited from home economics programs but were limited by inadequate financial support, cultural stereotypes, and gender bias.
The exhibition, entitled Redressing Histories of Early Hodinhs: nih Women at Cornell, 1914-1942, is part of Human Ecologies centenaries this year. It opens with a panel discussion, Indigenous perspectives in higher education: Reflecting on the past to inform the future.
