Gurkha fights more than a dozen Taliban fighters
The Gurkha, who attacked more than a dozen fighters, has given Britain the second-largest military medal. As the name suggests, “conspicuous gallantry” is given for acts, and the latter for the Victoria Cross, which is given “the most remarkable courage.”
After fifteen minutes of fighting Major Sergeant Dipprasad Pun, he fired four hundred ammunition, threw 17 grenades, and, when attacked with his rifle, shot down one of his attackers.
