US demolishes ‘IS mother of all bombs’ – BBC News

The U.S. military says it has dropped one of the most destructive non-nuclear bombs ever used in a tunnel in an Islamic State group in Afghanistan. The GBU-43 / B Massive Ordnance Air Blast Bomb (MOAB), known as the “mother of all bombs,” was first tested in 2003 but was not used before.
