Wichita, Kan (KSNW) – The increase in earthquakes has made some people consider earthquake insurance.

According to the Kansas Earthquake Database, there have been 11 earthquakes in Sedgwick County this year, when the ground moves, the foundation of your home can.

“These are the things that you want to monitor and any form of cracking, we recommend getting a company in and shutting it down because that can also allow areas of moisture to get into those crevices and obviously can get into basements, homes and things,” said Hoffman.

Lamonion said that people in Sedgwick County do not usually subscribe to earthquake protection as only 10 percent of their clients choose to cover.
