More COVID-19 cases confirmed in local schools
London, Ontario-COVID-19 cases continue to be found in schools in London and the region due to an increasing number of positive cases in the region.
The Thames Valley District Board of Education (TVDSB) has identified four cases at four schools, and the London District Catholic School Board (LDCSB) has identified one case at Woodstock Schools.
Schools with new cases are Surfrederick Bunting Secondary School, Sir George Etienne Cartier Public School, Summers Corner Public School in Elgin County, New Salm Public School in Elgin County, and St. Mary’s Catholic High School in Woodstock.
All five schools remain open and buses operate.
If you are not contacted by the health unit, your child is not considered at risk.
The health unit will only contact staff and students identified as close contacts and advise them to stay home from school for 14 days to quarantine.
On Thursday, it was announced that the Middlesex-London Health Unit had declared outbreaks at four schools in London.
Meanwhile, London broke the daily record of 47 new COVID-19 cases.
