The tsunami warning was raised again after a third strong earthquake struck off the coast of the North Island, and the third strong New Zealand earthquake struck off the coast of North Island of New Zealand on Friday, March 5, 2021, at 7:28 a.m. local time. This magnitude 8.1 earthquake occurred near the Karmadyk Islands about 880 km north of New Zealand, at a depth of 20-24 km, and although this earthquake was not felt much in the nearby North Island, the New Zealand National Emergency Management Agency urged People in some areas have to go to higher ground. A tsunami warning has been raised over many coastal areas in both North and South Island of New Zealand.
The warning was raised later that day, around 1:40 PM local time. According to the latest tsunami threat message from the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center, tsunami waves were measured as far as French Polynesia more than 3,000 kilometers northeast of the epicenter. The northern coast of the North Island of New Zealand was exposed to tsunamis, which reached a height of about 0.16 meters, or 16 cm only. The affected areas include the coasts from the North Cape to the East Cape, and no major damage has been reported.
According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the earthquake was caused by a reverse fault in the Tonga Kramadec subduction zone at a depth of about 22 km. The United States Geological Survey was also able to identify a previous 7.4 earthquake as a precursor of about 2 hours prior to this earthquake. The first of the three major earthquakes, which occurred 6 hours before the second earthquake, did not directly cause the second and third earthquakes.

Aftershocks
More information
Depending on its size, the fissure that was active during the earthquake ruptured along roughly the surface. 12,589 square kilometers (= 4,861 square miles) as a first-class estimate. The rupture area is likely to be around 194 km (121 mi) long, and aftershocks usually occur during the weeks, months, or even years following an earthquake at or near the same fault, at distances of approximately. Twice the length of the fissure area. The broad linear arrangement of aftershock centers often includes the main shock rupture zone (see map below for verification) earthquake aftershocks recorded, most recent first (67 earthquakes so far, updated frequently): previous earthquakes in the same area, please wait while searching millions of records This may take up to 20-30 seconds.

One important advantage is the speed at which information is sent and received. With the help of the internet, the shopping habits of many persons have drastically changed. The car insurance industry hasn't remained untouched by these changes. On the internet, drivers can compare insurance prices and find out which sellers have the best offers. View photos The advantages of comparing online car insurance quotes are the following: Online quotes can be obtained from anywhere and at any time. Unlike physical insurance agencies, websites don't have a specific schedule and they are available at any time. Drivers that have busy working schedules, can compare quotes from anywhere and at any time, even at midnight. Multiple choices. Almost all insurance providers, no matter if they are well-known brands or just local insurers, have an online presence. Online quotes will allow policyholders the chance to discover multiple insurance companies and check their prices. Drivers are no longer required to get quotes from just a few known insurance companies. Also, local and regional insurers can provide lower insurance rates for the same services. Accurate insurance estimates. Online quotes can only be accurate if the customers provide accurate and real info about their car models and driving history. Lying about past driving incidents can make the price estimates to be lower, but when dealing with an insurance company lying to them is useless. Usually, insurance companies will do research about a potential customer before granting him coverage. Online quotes can be sorted easily. Although drivers are recommended to not choose a policy just based on its price, drivers can easily sort quotes by insurance price. Using brokerage websites will allow drivers to get quotes from multiple insurers, thus making the comparison faster and easier.
