Vintage Video Of Hema Malini-Feroz Khan Arriving In Afghanistan For Film Set Gets Fan Attention | Bollywood
Amid mounting tensions in Afghanistan, Bollywood fans have stumbled upon a vintage video of Hema Malini, Feroz Khan and other Dharmatma stars visiting the country. The 1975 film was shot in Afghanistan.
In the video, shared by Instagram handle Retro Bollywood, Hema Malini and Feroz Khan are greeted by Afghan nationals upon their arrival. Hema wore a sari for her trip while Feroz wore a semi-formal suit. The clip also included clips of Hema and Feroz attending a high-profile party.

A few fans found the video informative while a few also praised the film. “Sleek and stylish film Feroz Khan my favorite,” said one fan. “Fantastic movie shot in Afghanistan Well done to Feroz Khan,” said another fan.
Dharmatma is the first Bollywood film to be shot in Afghanistan. Besides Hema and Feroz, the film also starred Rekha, Danny Denzongpa and Helen. Speaking about her memories of filming in the country, Hema told a major daily: “The Kabul I knew was so beautiful and my experience there was very pleasant. We had landed at the Kabul airport which was in back then as small as Mumbai airport, and we stayed at a hotel nearby. But eventually we traveled to places like Bamiyan and Band-e-Amir for our shoot and on the way back we saw these men with those long kurtas and beards, which looked like Taliban, at the time the russians were also a force in afghanistan.
There was no problem at the time, it was quiet and Feroz Khan had handled the whole trip and it was a very well organized shoot, “she added.

The Taliban seized the Afghan capital, in the wake of the withdrawal of US forces from the country. Afghan President Ashraf Ghani fled the country while several citizens also attempted to leave the country. Videos of chaos in the country have flooded the internet.
Several Bollywood stars including Anushka Sharma, Kangana Ranaut, Kabul Express director Kabir Khan and Rhea Chakraborty took to social media to express their shock.
