RIP Broadway actor Harvey Evans

Harvey Evans, a Broadway character who made his mark despite his rare lead roles, has passed away. He also made an appearance as a dancer in Disneys Delighted and was one of the chimney sweep dancers in the original Mary poppins.

Tributes to Evans were posted on social media over the weekend by those who knew him and his work, with Harvey Fierstein noting that Evans was new to everyone and loved by everyone and Bebe Neuwirth saying he was one of the nicest, most charming and charming gentlemen I have ever had the blessing to know.
