Imran Khan's interim bail extended in Jinnah House case and others

LAHORE: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Friday extended the interim bail of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan in three cases, including the Jinnah House attack case, till as of April 26, ARY News reported.

According to details, the ATC judge was hearing applications for interim bail in three cases relating to the attack on Jinnah House, Askari Tower and Shadman Police Station.

The court sought arguments from lawyers in the next hearing and ordered to ensure the presence of PTI founder Imran Khan through video link from Adiala jail.

It is worth mentioning here that the LHC was informed earlier that the Punjab government has allotted seven cells to convicted PTI founder Imran Khan in Adiala jail while 14 security personnel have been appointed for his safety.

A six-cell accommodation has been arranged for Imran Khan in addition to his cell to provide him with adequate security, AGP Punjab Khalid Ishaq told the court.

One staff member is deployed for security of 10 inmates in Adiala jail, however, 14 police personnel have been deployed for the security of Imran Khan in Adiala jail, the report added.
