Drops of toilet cleaner mixed in Imran Khan's wife Bushra Bibi's food: spokesperson

Bushra Bibi, the wife of imprisoned former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, was allegedly given at least two to three drops of “toilet cleaner” mixed into an Iftar meal, her spokesperson said on April 25.

The maid was allegedly mixed in her food at Shab-e-Barat on February 24.

We discovered that two or three drops of toilet cleaner were added to Bushra Bibi's Iftar meal, Ms Bibi's spokesperson Mashal Yousafzai was quoted as saying by Geo newspaper.

She claimed that after consuming this meal, her health deteriorated and was getting worse day by day.

Mr Khan, 71, founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, has repeatedly claimed that Ms Bushra Bibi, 49, was given food mixed with toilet cleaner.

The spokesperson said before her arrest that she had no problems, including blood pressure and diabetes.

Since her arrest, Bushra Bibi's health has deteriorated, something must have happened, she said, expressing her apprehension.

Ms Bibi, convicted in two separate cases, has been detained at Bani Gala's home since the couple were convicted in the un-Islamic nikah case in February. The Bani Gala residence was transformed into a sub-prison for the wife of the former Prime Minister.

Ms Yousafzai, also an adviser to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister, questioned why Ms Bibis's medical examinations had not been carried out despite the court's orders for three weeks.

She also wonders who is stopping the authorities from carrying out medical examinations.

The court ordered [authorities] to perform his endoscopy and blood test. Endoscopy revealed ulceration and inflammation of the stomach, Ms Yousafzai said.

She said that despite court orders, they did not allow the former first lady to undergo blood tests. She said the PTI also requested that the blood test be conducted by Al-Shifa Hospital and cross-checked at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital.

She said: “The blood test could reveal whether or not the poisonous element was present in his blood. » Ms Yousafzai said a few days ago that Ms Bibi had pain in her chest and left arm. The prison doctor did an ECG and it was not normal, she claimed.

The prison doctor said she would go and inform the prison administration so that doctors from the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) could come and conduct his examination, she said.

She said there was a difference between the imprisonment of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto and that of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz as Ms Bibi was a housewife and not a politician.

Bushra Bibi is being targeted because she is the wife of the PTI founder, she said.

Last week, a full medical assessment of Ms Bibi was carried out under the supervision of Mr Khan's family doctor. Doctors at a private hospital said Ms Bibi, the former first lady, was in good health.

The former first lady stayed at a private hospital in Islamabad for six hours for diagnostic tests, including an endoscopy, but refused to undergo a blood test and did not provide a blood sample, sources told Geo News.

The hospital sources said Ms Bibi also underwent ultrasound, ultrasound and ECG examinations, while during the examination Mr Khan's doctor Dr Asim Yousuf was also present.
