Key projects to be launched

Thane Borivali Tunnel Project: One of the highlights of the visit is the laying of the foundation stone for the Rs 16,600-crore Thane Borivali Tunnel Project. This 11.8 km twin-tube tunnel will create a direct connection between the Western Express Highway at Borivali and the Thane Ghodbander Road. The tunnel will pass under the Sanjay Gandhi National Park, reducing the journey from Thane to Borivali by 12 km and saving about an hour of travel time.

Goregaon Mulund Link Road (GMLR) Project: The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of the Goregaon Mulund Link Road (GMLR) project, worth over Rs 6,300 crore.
