Jakarta: Jakarta gubernatorial candidate Pramono Anung said he will adhere to the central government's policy regarding the normalization of the river in Jakarta. Pramono also promised to be responsible for residents displaced following the normalization of the river.
“This (relocation of residents) is the responsibility of the Jakarta government,” said Pramono in Kramat, Senen, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, November 12, 2024.
Pramono further said that he accompanied the 7th President Joko Widodo when he was Cabinet Secretary reviewing the Jakarta River Normalization Project. For this reason, Pramono admitted that he was very familiar with the issue of river normalization in Jakarta.
I was among those who went to the field at that time to accompany President Jokowi and Pak Basuki. “I really see that there are a lot of things that need to be normalized, that need to be exhumed,” Pramono continued.
