Woman hit with hockey stick in random attack on New York street: NYPD
LOWER EAST SIDE, Manhattan (PIX11) A man hit a woman with a hockey stick on the Lower East Side in an unprovoked attack last week, the NYPD said.
The 26-year-old woman was walking along East 6th Street around 10:30 p.m. when the man approached her and punched her in the leg without warning, authorities said.
Paramedics treated the victim, police said.
Authorities say the suspect was last seen walking eastbound on East 6th Street. He remained on the run as of Thursday morning.
The NYPD released surveillance footage of the attack on Wednesday.
