2024-25 NCAA Division I Men's Tennis Individual Championships Selections Announced
CHARLOTTE, NC (theACC.com) The Atlantic Coast Conference will be well represented at the 2024-25 NCAA Division I Men's Tennis Singles and Doubles Championships as the NCAA Division I Men's Tennis Subcommittee selected the 64 singles and 32 doubles teams for the individual championships.
This is the first year of a two-year plan that will see the singles and doubles championships held in the fall, while the team championships will be held in the spring.
The singles and doubles competition will be held November 19-24 at the Hurd Tennis Center in Waco, Texas. Baylor University will serve as host.
The ACC had 17 individuals selected for the 64-team singles field, highlighted by four players from California and three players from NC State. Duke and Florida State also had several players picked for the singles championships.
In doubles, 10 teams were selected, including an alternate, again led by two teams from the Golden Bears.
Cal leads the nation with four student-athletes heading into the NCAA Singles Championship and is tied with its two teams for the most doubles players in the field.
Singles and doubles competitors qualified for the NCAA Division I singles and doubles championships through competition in sanctioned qualifying pathway events – ITA All-American Championships, ITA Regional Championships, ITA Conference Masters Championships and ITA Sectional Championships.
