The 19-year-old was sentenced to 6.5 years in prison for bringing gun to Canal Winchester game
Bowers, together with three 17-year-old boys, was arrested after a fight in a Canal Winchester-Groveport Madison High School-football match in 2023.
Columbus, Ohio, a Columbus man who brought an adapted gun to a high school football match, was sentenced on Monday to six years and six months in prison, said the office of the public prosecutor.
According to the Franklin County County Processor Shayla Gunst, 19-year-old Sharod Bowers argued in October 2023 guilty of charges with regard to the gun.

On August 18, 2023, Madison Township Police Department officers who were working a special service preparation came to work during a football match in Canal Winchester High School, intervening in a fight between several young men, one of them was Bowers.
When the Bowers police were walking, they found a gun in the front waistband of his pants, the public prosecutor said.
Bowers, together with three 17-year-old boys, was arrested after the Canal Winchester-Groveport Madison High School football match. None of the individuals was students at both school. There were also no reports about shots that were fired or injuries.
The police said that bowers and two of the other teenagers were accused of wearing a hidden weapon and transport or possession of a fatal weapon in a school safety zone. The fourth teenager was accused of threatening and disorderly behavior of the incident.
All three recovered guns were Glock 9 mm with switches, making the gun an automatic weapon, the police said.
According to the office of the public prosecutor of Franklin County, one of the arrested teenagers was the first juvenile in the province accused of a specification with regard to a switch on a Glock fire weapon.
The teenager who was charged with the specification took a pleid agreement and is planned to be convicted on November 8.
