Nebraska WR JD Spielman taking leave with pay
Nebraska starting receiver JD Spielman is on leave while addressing personal health issues, the team announced on Monday.
Spielman is not expected to participate in the Nebraska Spring testing session, which begins March 9. He has 170 career receptions for 2,546 yards and 15 touchdowns, as well as 128 rushing yards in 33 games (26 starts). Spielman won third All-Big Ten team honors in each of his first two seasons and honorable mention honors in 2019. He set Nebraska first-year records for receptions (55), yards reception (830) and multipurpose yards (1572) in 2017., and has a season record for reception matches of 200 yards (2).
