Aizawl: An earthquake was felt late at night in Aizawl, Mizoram, on Friday. The magnitude of this earthquake is estimated at 3.7 on the Richter scale. According to the National Toxicology Center, the ground shook around 12:49 pm, however, there were no reports of any loss of life and property so far due to the quake.

Earlier, tremors were felt in Mizoram on November 29. The National Toxicology Center reported that tremors of 4.2 on the Richter scale were felt near the state’s Chambhai area. According to him, the epicenter was 69 kilometers south of Champai. The quake was felt at a depth of 54 km below the surface of the earth at 6.54 pm India time.

Earthquake hit Gujarat on December 8: An earthquake hit the town of Gondal in Rajkot district of Gujarat state on December 8, with a magnitude of 3.4 on the Richter scale. No loss of life or property was reported in the quake. Officials said the quake occurred around 6:53 a.m., followed by light tremors in the same area, whose magnitude was estimated at 2 degrees. Rajkot District Collector, Arun Mahesh Babu, confirmed that there are no reports of any casualties or property losses due to the earthquake.
