The First Lady of Croatia is participating as a special guest of the WHO Walk the Talk: Health for All Challenge
The First Lady of Croatia, N.E. prof. Dr. Sanja Music Milanovic, was a special guest at the WHO Walk the Talk: Health for All Challenge, held in Geneva on May 22, 2022.
Regular physical activity provides significant benefits for the health and well-being of all, said prof. Dr. Musić Milanović. “That is why throughout the years of the Healthy Life in Croatia program we have been promoting physical activity and encouraging everyone to find their own way to be active for at least 30 minutes a day. Personally, my favorite forms of physical activity are running and walking. ”
The Walk the Talk challenge is very similar to our Croatian “Walking Towards Health” campaign and is a great way for all of us public health professionals, policy makers and other stakeholders to show that we are truly doing what we preach. I am very happy to be walking with thousands of people around the world today to share the message of the importance of physical activity for health and to celebrate our shared commitment to reducing physical inactivity around the world. ”
During the event, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Chief Executive Officer of the WHO, presented the First Lady with the Director General’s Health Award 2022.

Prof. Dr. Musić Milanović is an epidemiologist and expert in the field of obesity prevention and health promotion.
