A strange noises throughout a village in China forced many to flee. Despite the confusion, some villagers in Guizhou Province went in search of this voice believing it to be a mythical creature. Some described the sound as a roar of a dragon while others noted it as a roar of a tiger.

Footage of villagers gathering on top of the mountain in Xiushi, southwest China’s Guizhou Province, has started to circulate on Chinese social media.

The video eventually reached Twitter as social media users came to their own conclusion about the mysterious noise.

Some Twitter users note that rift lines could be sounding down the village, causing concerns that an earthquake might be imminent.

While others considered it to be an animal in the wild, similar noise had been heard elsewhere in China.

Guizhou officials sent teams of experts to search the area after the video spread.

Zoologists were later able to confirm that the sound was actually made by a small bird.

The offender with the yellow legs was called the offender and is slightly larger than the sparrow.

Despite its size, the birds have a fairly noisy song.

During the breeding season, the yellow-buttoned quail buds can be heard aloud at a distance of up to 100 meters.

Local primary school teacher Liu Fukyung claimed to have seen the bird making the confusing call.
