Test and Trace in England hit another low with 58% of contacts – BBC News

 



The Test and Trace scheme in England has had the worst performance since early July when it came to reaching out to infected contacts in the community. The study team reached 58% of those who tested positive in the first week of October. Meanwhile, people working in a coronavirus testing lab have expressed concerns about safety rules. A scientist who worked at the Milton Keynes Lighthouse Laboratory said workers were being put at risk. The Health and Safety Executive has found security breaches following the claims. The company that runs the lab has said it has strict safety measures in place and the government has said it will review and inspect the laboratories it uses regularly.
