Ten thousand cases are still rising, and on the second day in a row there have been more than 300 deaths. Hospitals in several parts of England, including Liverpool, Nottingham and Lancashire, are treating more patients than at the April peak. The latest data show another 24,701 new cases of coronavirus in the UK in the last 24 hours. Another 310 deaths have been reported, which is 45,675.
