4.0 Earthquake Jan 27 10:29 am (GMT-9)

A 4.0 Richter scale earthquake near Unalaska, Western Aleutians County (California), Alaska, USA, was reported 33 minutes ago by the United States Geological Survey (USGS), which is the main international and national agency that monitors seismic activity in United State. The earthquake occurred at a fairly shallow depth of 37 miles below the epicenter on the morning of Wednesday January 27, 2021 at 10:29 AM local time. The magnitude and other earthquake parameters could still change in the coming hours as the agency continues to process seismic data, and a second report was released later by the European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC), which also listed it as a 4.0 magnitude earthquake.
