Joe Biden jumped on Super Tuesday, sweeping the South and winning surprising map wins in states like Texas, Minnesota and Massachusetts. But Bernie Sanders won the biggest game of the evening in California and the very important delegate race is still pending.

Mike Bloomberg bombed Super Tuesday. And now the New York billionaire is reconsidering his decision to stay in the race.

Former Attorney General Jeff Sessions limped into second runoff for the nomination of the GOP for its former Senate seat in Alabama, coming in second after former Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville on Tuesday.

Days before the primaries of March 10: 6

Days before the democratic debate in Phoenix: 11

Days before the primary on March 17: 13

Days before the 2020 elections: 244

ABOUT THE LAST NIGHT Tuesday was a really great super Tuesday for Biden, which has accumulated victories in states across the country, including dominant margins in the South. The former vice president won nine states in total, some of which were startling: Alabama, Arkansas, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas (!!!) and Virginia.

But Sanders won the biggest state vote last night in California with its home state of Vermont, Colorado and Utah. Most importantly, with much of the delegate battle still undecided, it is unclear at the moment who will ultimately have the most delegates when all is said and done. Maine remains final, with Biden and Sanders shoulder to shoulder.

Delegates count early Wednesday morning looks like this: Of the 1,344 Super Tuesday delegates, Biden won 399, and Sanders won 322. Bloomberg won 44, Elizabeth Warren won 42 and Tulsi Gabbard has one. A huge 536 has not yet been awarded.

If Tuesday was a measure of Sanders' sustainability, it also confirmed the magnitude of the dynamics of Bidens. The former vice presidents of the rise of the primary arrived suddenly, only after his victory in South Carolina resuscitated his campaign, wrote David Siders of POLITICO.

Bidens' victory was both geographically distributed as well as demographically. He won black voters by huge margins, but also got more support from women than the only woman in the race, wrote Natasha Korecki and Marc Caputo of POLITICO. "He scored in the southern and western suburbs and rural areas. His main weaknesses were with the youth and the Latinos, with whom Sanders mopped up in California, Colorado and parts of Texas.

Two largely non-factor candidates Super Tuesday? Bloomberg and Elizabeth Warren. Bloombergs, hundreds of millions of expenses, seem to be in vain. Biden has crushed Bloomberg in the South, even in states where the former vice president was overwhelmed and organized. And Warren did not finish better than third in any state of Super Tuesday, including his home state, Massachusetts. (Gabbard, who is also still in the running, picked up her first delegate to American Samoa. She didn't even come remotely to do the same in any of the states voting Tuesday night.)

The next primary day is in six days. Idaho, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, North Dakota and Washington will all vote.

SEE YOU LATER? After an incredibly disappointing Super Tuesday, Bloomberg plans to drop out today, reported Sally Goldenberg and Chris Cadelago of POLITICO, citing several people familiar with his plans. More from Sally and Chris: A Bloomberg spokesperson insisted that no decision had been made after leaving his party in West Palm Beach, Florida on Tuesday evening. Bloomberg has given no indication of his intention to withdraw as he spoke to supporters in Palm Beach, Florida on Tuesday evening. But several sources involved in his campaign said a decision to quit the race was almost certain.

The mood has become bleak for the Warrens team after Super Tuesday. Warren had a plan to win. It did not work: in 18 nomination contests, she did not finish above third place, including in her home country, reported Alex Thompson of POLITICO. Warren's campaign declined to comment on his next steps after his grim performance on Super Tuesday. But allies who speak regularly about the campaign say the mood was grim.

MONEY Biden recovers from old fundraisers for Pete Buttigieg. On Monday, Biden's top advisers, Greg Schultz and Sheila Nix, were on the phone with around 40 Buttigieg bundlers asking them to join the team, reported Maggie Severns and Elena Schneider of POLITICO. Its part of a bigger push behind the scenes, alongside the leading public support chain flowing like Bidens, urging the Democrats who are now the time to unite behind it 39; former vice-president.

Marc Benioff, founder of Salesforce and longtime A Democratic donor said he no longer made political contributions or organized fundraisers now that he owned Time Magazine, Theodore Schleifer Recodes reported.

THE PROCESS New York Republicans canceled presidential primary this year after only President Donald Trump qualified to be on the ballot, guaranteeing him all state delegates. POLITICO New Yorks Bill Mahoney has more.

ENDORSEMENT CORNER More Congress recommendations for Biden rolled on Super Tuesday: Reps. Collin Peterson (D-Minn.), Abigail Spanberger (D-Va.) And Jim Costa (D-California).

ON THE AIRWAVES American Bridge Launches New Advertisement in his campaign to wipe out the president’s support with white working class voters. In the ad, which will kick off in Pennsylvania and Washington, DC, around the town hall of Trumps Fox News on Thursday, a veteran who says he supported Trump in 2016 says he won't not again, writes Anita Kumar of POLITICO. I think he only cares about being re-elected. For him, his Trump above all else, Steve, the veteran, says in the ad.

PRIMARY NIGHT But it wasn't just the presidential race! We also have the results of a whole bunch of downballot races. Here are all the races we were watching.
