Vaccine Warning for Increased Risk of Heart Inflammation Can Be Treated “Very Rare”
Hudson Valley doctors are responding to the FDA’s warning about the increased risk of heart inflammation in vaccinated young people for the COVID-19 vaccine from Moderna and Pfizer.

Dr. Christina Johns, pediatrician and senior medical adviser at PMPediatric, told News 12 that there seems to be a link between vaccines and myocarditis.

Of the more than 320 million vaccinations given nationwide, this condition was seen in about 1,200 patients, most of whom were young men and adolescents.

This action followed Wednesday’s discussion of issues by a committee advising the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Vaccination.
