New cases of COVID-19 in Kitsap County are flat.Washington state proceedings decreased by 8.9%
Washington reported 11,641 new cases of coronavirus in the week ending Sunday, a decrease of 8.9% from the previous week. Subsequently, 12,779 new cases of the virus causing COVID-19 were reported.
Washington ranks 31st among the fastest-spreading states of the coronavirus per capita, according to a USA TODAY Network analysis of Johns Hopkins University data. Last week, cases of coronavirus in the United States increased by 15.5% from the previous week, with 646,627 cases reported. With 2.29% of the country’s population, Washington had 1.8% of the country’s case last week. Nationwide, 39 states had more cases in the most recent week than in the previous week.
Kitsap County reported 310 cases and four deaths last week. A week ago, 314 cases and 3 deaths were reported. Through the pandemic, 17,832 cases and 244 deaths have been reported.
Mason County reported 130 cases and 6 deaths last week. A week ago, 134 cases and one death were reported. Through the pandemic, 6,291 cases and 80 deaths have been reported.
Throughout Washington, the number of cases decreased in 26 counties, the most in Pierce County, from 1,917 a week ago to 1,303. In Spokane County, there are 1,364 to 1,114 cases. In Skagit County, there were 474 to 307 cases.

Washington ranks 15th in the state, with the percentage of people vaccinated at least once, with 71.5% of its population vaccinated at least partially. The national percentage is 68.8%, as shown by USA TODAY analysis of CDC data. The most used Pfizer and Modana vaccines in the United States should be given twice at intervals of several weeks.
In the week ending Thursday, Washington reported an additional 311,996 vaccinations, including 103,007 initial doses. Last week, the state received 189,307 vaccinations, including 30,192 initial doses. Overall, Washington reported that it administered a total dose of 10,993,344 doses.
