COVID-19 hospitalization in the St. Louis region has increased, but the weekly average is still declining | Coronavirus

ST. According to the Louis-St. Louis Metropolitan Pandemic Task Force, the number of new patients admitted to hospitals in the St. Louis area for the treatment of coronavirus has increased to 24 from 16 days before Saturday.

Also, the weekly average for all COVID-19 patients in hospitals in the St. Louis region decreased from 1 to 325, while the 7-day average for new patients increased from 18 to 19.

The task force said the data was two days behind.

On Saturday, Missouri health officials reported a total of 14,442 cases and 809 deaths. Illinois reported 126,890 cases and 5,864 deaths.

St. Louis counted 2,053 cases and 134 deaths. There are at least 5,241 cases in St. Louis County, killing 460 people.

On Saturday, St. Charles County reported a total of 837 cases and 62 deaths. There were at least 398 cases and 18 deaths in Jefferson County. There are 148 cases and 17 deaths in Franklin County, according to authorities.

Madison, St. Clair, and Monroe counties in Illinois have aggregated 2,174 cases and killed at least 182 people.
