Katy Perry turned to a “pharmaceutical crutch” to recover from depression.
The 35-year-old pop star suffered from depression during her Witness tour in 2017 and 2018, and Katy has now revealed that she is on medication to combat the problem.
She shared: “I was on the Witness tour, I remember looking at the audience and thinking, ‘Why are you here? You do not like me. I’m not so good. “I was very clinically depressed.”
Katy has been in therapy since she was 25, but her last encounter with depression was more difficult than anything she had experienced before.
Hitmaker ‘Roar’ said: “I had always been able to work around the problem.

Katy admits to taking medication to combat the problem – although she did not specify what it was.

Katy is no longer on medication, but is a fan of meditation and the Hoffman process, which is extreme therapy.
