Cuba is studying for the production of its own COVID-19 vaccine, as Russia also plans to vaccinate the Caribbean.
“Cuba is working on creating a coronavirus vaccine,” said Epidemiology Director of Francisco Duran, Ministry of Health in Cuba.
“Finding an efficient coronavirus vaccine is a top priority for our scientific and research team to control COVID-19,” Francisco Duran added in his speech.
In addition to this, the President of Biocuba Farma muttered, “Looking at the Finlay Institute of the country shows how much progress we can make in this very short period of time.
Much is not known that Cuba is not a vaccination stranger, which produces 80% of the vaccines used in national vaccination programs.
Cuba, known for its health sector and assistance to other countries during the peak wave of the new coronavirus, has its own problems in controlling pollution of coastal viral diseases.
However, so far the country has effectively controlled the virus, but the increased infections have created overwhelming concern for the Cuban health sector.
Last week, Havana faced a new lockdown, and restaurants and bars were closed again to prevent socialization of people in public places.
