Clearfield County Reports New COVID Case, McKean County Reports New Death | Coronavirus
The Harrisburg-Pennsylvania Department of Health reported an increase in 770 COVID-19-positive cases on Tuesday, bringing the total to 134,795 cases across the state. Of these, 3,834 are estimated cases of coronavirus.
From the 25th of August to the 31st of August, the number of tests performed in the last 7 days was 163,092, with 4,551 positive cases.
DOH reports that 81% of cases are expected to recover 30 days after the patient’s first positive test.
As of Tuesday, Clearfield County reported 228 cases. 177 were confirmed and 51 were estimated. Jefferson County reported 97 cases. 72 confirmed and 25 estimated. Elk County reported 64 cases. 49 are confirmed, 15 are likely.
Clearfield County reported one new case, but neither Jefferson County nor Elk County reported.
Elk County reports two deaths. Jefferson County reported one death. Clearfield County reported one death.
To date, 5,543 negative cases have been reported in Clearfield County, 2,156 in Elk County, and 2,903 in Jefferson County, according to the Department of Health.
Eighteen new deaths were reported across the state on Tuesday, resulting in a total of 7,691 deaths in 63 counties as a result of COVID-19.
There are 661 possible patients. This included 15 individuals who tested positive for viral antigens and were considered probable cases, and 646 who tested positive for serology and had either COVID-19 symptoms or high-risk exposure. Patients are included.
There are 1,539,969 patients who have been negative so far.

— Indiana reported 430 cases and 10 deaths.

In nursing homes, COVID-19 has 21,074 residents and 4,510 employees, making a total of 25,584 at 930 institutions in 61 counties. To date, 5,192 deaths have been reported from the population of nursing homes.
According to DOH, Clearfield County has five facilities with incidents. There are 2 residents and 5 employees. Jefferson County has five facilities with incidents. 10 residents and 6 employees. Elk County has one incident site. 1 resident and 7 employees. No deaths have been reported from these facilities, the DOH reported.
