Covid-19 cases increase by 19,724 and UK coronavirus deaths increase by 137
An additional 19,724 Coronavirus Confirmed in the United Kingdom, the total number of Covid cases is 654,644.
The Ministry of Health also said that as of 9 am Wednesday, 137 people had died within 28 days of a positive Covid-19 test.
According to the latest UK government statistics, the death toll from the UK coronavirus is currently 43,155.
Another figure released by the UK statistic agency shows that Covid-19 currently has 58,000 deaths registered where it appears on the death certificate.
England
NHS England said Wednesday that an additional 68 people who tested positive for the coronavirus died in a UK hospital, bringing the total number of confirmed deaths reported in the hospital to 30,662.
Patients were between the ages of 48 and 98. All patients, except four, between the ages of 65 and 93, were aware of their underlying health status.
The deaths were between October 2nd and October 13th.
Eight other deaths were reported and the Covid-19 test was not positive.
Wales
There were an additional 946 cases of Covid-19 in Wales, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 32,316.
According to the Welsh Public Health Service, another 10 deaths have been reported, with a total of 1,688 deaths since the outbreak of the pandemic.

Drakeford said the government is considering introducing a limit by 6 pm on Friday if Boris Johnson does not introduce his own measures to achieve the same effect by that date.
He added that he has already spoken to Scotland’s first minister in support of the Welsh government’s move.
Scotland
In Scotland, 1,429 new Covid cases were reported, as 16.4% of the initial tests tested positive.
The number of people hospitalized for the virus has increased to 570, of which 49 are receiving intensive care.
Northern Ireland
In Northern Ireland, four more people died after being infected with the coronavirus.
The Northern Ireland Ministry of Health also confirmed that 1,217 positive cases have been reported in the last 24 hours.
In the meantime, a total of 6,538 people have been tested for Covid-19, according to numbers.
In the last 7 days, 6,693 people have returned positive test results.
The official death toll has increased to 602, which is said to be significantly higher when considering deaths in all community environments.
