Oregon reports an additional 8 COVID-19 deaths and 976 new cases

 


Portland, Oregon (KTVZ)-There were eight new COVID-19-related deaths in Oregon, increasing the state’s death to 1,938, the Oregon Department of Health reported Friday.

OHA reported 976 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 as of 12:01 am today, bringing the total to 141,729 in the state.

Vaccination in Oregon

On Friday, OHA reported that 23,004 COVID-19 vaccinations had been added to the state’s vaccination registry. Of this total, 15,813 doses were given on Thursday and 7,191 were given the day before, but were enrolled in the vaccine registry on Thursday.

OHA Announces New COVID 19 Forecast

Server maintenance

OHA schedules time to perform server and file migration maintenance on a data management system called the Oregon Pandemic Emergency Response Application (OPERA). OPERA acts as a state database of COVID-19 cases.

OPERA will be down from 10am to 10pm on Saturday, January 30th. Due to scheduled work, the OHA Health Information Center will not report information on COVID-19 cases and deaths on Sunday. Test results reported on Saturday will not be processed until Sunday, which may increase the total number of cases reported on Monday.
