Iowa reports another COVID-19 death, more than 150 cases on Monday
Des Moines, Iowa (KCRG) – The Iowa Public Health Service announced on Monday one COVID-19-related death and another 150 virus-positive cases.
As of 10:30 am, the state reports that a total of 339,694 people in Iowa are COVID-19-positive and a total of 5,559 people have died from the virus since the outbreak of the pandemic.
State data lists COVID-19 as the root cause of 4,983 reported deaths, while the virus was responsible for 576 reported deaths.
The state vaccination dashboard shows that a total of 892,815 COVID-19 vaccinations were given in Iowa, and 280,254 people in Iowa were completely vaccinated against COVID-19.
A total of 168 people have been infected with the virus in Iowa, and 29 have been hospitalized in the last 24 hours. Currently, there are 37 patients in the ICU and 7 patients in the ventilator.
In the last 24 hours, the state has reported that 1,113 individuals have been tested for COVID-19. Since the beginning of the pandemic, a total of 1,578,108 people have been inspected. According to this data, the positive rate for the last 24 hours was 13.5%.
