Of the total population, MDH said that 2,585,053 people, or 46.5 percent, received the first dose of the vaccine.
Recently available data, Saturday’s MDH figures, show that 50.6 percent of all Houston County residents received their first dose. 43.7 percent of the county’s population has completed the vaccine series. According to MDH, 95.1% of people over the age of 65 have been vaccinated at least once.
In Winona County, 45.2% of the population has received at least one vaccination and 39.7% have completed the vaccine series. 87.2% of people over the age of 65 have been vaccinated at least once.

According to Monday’s MDH figures, COVID-19 in the state killed three more people.
To date, a total of 7,163 people have died in COVID-19, Minnesota, the ministry reported. According to MDH, 4,370 people who died were residents of long-term care or living support facilities.
State health officials also reported in the latest information that an additional 1,105 people in Minnesota had tested positive for COVID-19. Cases were tested by a combination of PCR and antigen testing.

According to MDH, a total of 580,340 people in Minnesota were COVID-19 positive, including 41,544 healthcare workers. According to health officials, 39,542 cases in the state are considered “potential cases” because they were reported by a positive antigen test rather than a PCR test.
Health officials said it was no longer necessary to quarantine 559,036 of those who tested positive for COVID-19 in Minnesota.
MDH also reported that the total number of tests completed in the state was 9,327,363. The ministry reports that about 4,061,256 people in Minnesota have been tested for COVID-19, and some say they have been tested multiple times.
MDH also said that a total of 30,370 people have been hospitalized in COVID-19 in the state so far. This includes 6,183 patients admitted to the ICU.
