Low-level earthquake measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale hits Tirupati city

The National Center of Seismology said today in an official statement that in the early hours of Sunday morning, April 3, an earthquake measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale occurred 85 kilometers northeast of Andhra Pradesh in Tirupati.

The organization announced the earthquake through a tweet on its official account on social media. Tremors were felt near Tirupati, Andhra state in the early hours of the day, around 1:10 am on Sunday.

According to the NCS, the earthquake that was felt near Tirupati was fairly low in intensity and likely caused no damage. So far, no property damage or loss of life has been reported due to the earthquake in Andhra Pradesh.
