The City of West Hollywood is co-sponsoring a Free Laughter on the WeHo Lawn Comedy Hour presented by Craig Appelbaum in support of the Housing and Healing Alliance on Friday, October 14, 2022 at 6 p.m. on the Vista Lawn at Plummer Park, located at 7377 Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood.
Laughter on the Lawn will feature local Southern California comedians Roz Hernandez, Nathalie Holmes, Jackie Monahan, MK Paulsen and Antjuan Tobias. The event will be moderated by Ivana Shein. Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, snacks, and philanthropic spirit for giggles, giggles, giggles, giggles, and belly laughs, all in support of the LGBTQ community.
Host Ivana Shein is a second-generation Canadian playwright and actress who has appeared on numerous television series and is currently returning to the ABC television series, Post 19. Roz Hernandez performs throughout the region and hosts the podcast Phantom ! by Roz Hernández. Nathalie Holmes is an actress, comedian and singer who performs monthly with the Upright Citizens Brigades. Maude Night. Jackie Monahan is an actress and comedian who can be seen in the new documentary queer riot with Margaret Cho. MK Paulsen appeared in the Amazon docu-series inside jokes and runs a weekly comedy show in Silverlake called Laundry in unit. Antjuan Tobias is an actor and comedian recently seen in the TV miniseries angelyne with Emmy Rossum. Producer Craig Appelbaum is a former lawyer and art dealer who now performs locally and hosts a monthly show in Palm Springs.
The Alliance for Housing and Healing, the charitable organization of Laughter on the Lawn, provides essential housing and support services to people living in poverty with HIV/AIDS in the Greater Los Angeles area.
